Event AUGUST 29th

We were very sad to hear that karting veteran Frank Musil recently passed away at the age of 90 years old. Frank began karting in the 1950's at Westwood Motorsport Park in Coquitlam, BC. His passion for karting was evident as he continued to be an integral part of building the sport until just months before his death. Frank and wife Kate traveled along the West Coast of Canada and the US supporting races such as Westwood Karting Club and Region 6 Gold Cup. 

In honor of Frank and his contribution to karting, we would like to designate SIMA Race 4 (August 29th) as the Frank Musil Celebration of Life Race. $5 from each registration will go towards Franks Celebration of Life gathering that will be held on Saturday, September 19th and Port Kells Community Hall at 1pm.  Anyone that knew Frank is invited to join Kate as she celebrates the life of Frank.

Please make plans to stick around after the race on August 29th as we will be serving refreshments and sharing our favorite stories of Frank.
